What problems do you solve for clients in your role?
As part of the Operations Team, we can solve all of our clients’ problems by living our 3 brand pillars:

- Peace of Mind
Clients call upon Apex to solve complex problems they have on relocation, installation and time-frame. We are able to simplify their project and meet their time-frames by being an agile Operations Team. There is no problem a customer can bring to us that our team cannot solve and execute for our clients.
What do you like most about your position at Apex?
I like working with our crew to see projects evolve from a paper sketch to a great office environment for our clients. When speaking with clients after we complete projects you can hear the relief in their voice. We took something that kept the customer up at night and turned that into peace of mind with our service levels from Project Management to crew. Watching our team work together to complete projects is the most rewarding part of my position.
What keeps you engaged/passionate outside of work?
Family. I am also involved with youth coaching. I have been a volunteer coach for the University Place Soccer Club and Viking Youth Football Club. I enjoy mentoring young adults and they in-turn give me back more than they will ever know. When I am not coaching or working, I enjoy hunting with my son. Spending time with my family re-energizes me and keeps my mind fresh so I can stay focused at Apex.
How has Apex helped you grow and get to the next level?
One of our Core Values at Apex is Employee Satisfaction which supports employees’ professional and personal growth. Apex offers us a full curriculum of training courses as well as specialized training specific to our furniture and relocation industry. We also hire extraordinary people that bring new and innovative ideas to our company. I am learning new things every day I come to work. Marlaine [CEO] has given me a training plan as a road map for my success and supports me as I move up within the company. Having a plan and the assistance to accomplish my goals at Apex is something I value as an employee.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would like to see cast as you?
Michael Chiklis: He’s been a dad, cop and super hero perfect to play me in my life story.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates?
Apex has a fast paced environment and growing every quarter. We are true to our Company Values and push people to perform outside of their comfort level which is where we make the most strides as individuals. We work collaboratively together and celebrate all wins. Most off the people make the workplace enjoyable which makes it easy to come to office. A fun energized place to work!
