Planning for Success
Derek joined Apex Facility Resources in 2015 as an Account Project Coordinator, and we count ourselves lucky to have him on our team! Coming in with an operational-minded background as well as an academic background in science, Derek provides key support for ongoing projects happening across North America. His ability to strategically plan, research and analyze data delivers an exceptional client experience!
True Team Player
One of Derek’s favorite things about being part of the team at Apex Facility resources is that no two days are the same. “I am a quick learner,” says Derek, “and I want it to be a challenge.” His tasks may vary from preparing client proposals to coordinating large installations, and managing vendors to organizing international shipments.
When asked what he enjoys most about coming into the office every day, Derek’s answer is simple – the people. “Everyone’s nice and friendly, and they’re funny!” he explains. “I enjoy coming to work not only because of the challenges, I like to see everyone when I get here.”
Derek also assists other departments with special projects, including ordering staff uniforms, developing graphics for company vehicles and crafting continuous learning opportunities.
When not at the office, Derek enjoys spending time with his family doing fun activities and being outdoors. Derek is also an avid basketball player, bowler, and all around sports fan.
