Job Opening: Designer-Office Space Planner

What the OPPORTUNITY looks like:

The Designer is responsible for providing design services to dealership customers, including site/inventory verifications, programming, space planning, typical development, color boards, working/installation drawings, specification and site-to-plan review.  ·

The Designer position is collaborative – you work with the team which can include an account manager, project manager and a project coordinator.  You will be successful if this sounds like YOU:

  • You have a strong knowledge of office space design and current practices; ·
  • You understand workplace environment issues (ergonomics, technology integration, teaming, alternative office, etc.)
  • You respond to prospective customer solution inquiries, coordinating and organizing input from multiple sources; ·
  • You have a passion for creating spaces that excite, and can see how to maximize a spaces potential;  ·
  • You know your colors and how to pull spaces together; ·
  • You understand the processes of contract furniture, including order preparation, project management, order management and delivery/installation.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • BA in Design/ Interior Design Degree,·
  • NCIDQ preferred ·
  • Minimum 2+ year(s) contract furniture dealership experience.·
  • Excellent written and vocal communication skills·
  • Self-motivated with great work ethic
